Welcome to sarabelly.com!

I began making handmade artisan  jewelry in 1999, when my favorite person in the world, my grandmother Grace Hinkel passed away.

My grandmother,  a simple woman who spent most of her life farming did not afford herself many frills in life.  When my family and I were packing up her cherished belongings we came across a broken strand of pearls. Not wanting to throw away anything that belonged to her, broken or not, I took them home.  After much thought about what to do with the pearls, I decided the best way to honor her memory would be to make separate pieces that her daughters, and great granddaughters could remember her by. I enjoyed the project so much that soon my cup ranith over with beads. In 2003 my hobby became a legitimate business, and when it came time to choose a name, only one name popped into my head - sarabelly, my grandmothers nick name for me. You can picture my eternal muse in the logo photograph, she is the cute little blond with the bow. Thanks for stopping by!!
